KBLA 1580: Special Event to Honor the Life of Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr.

KBLA Talk 1580 invites the Los Angeles community to a historic evening honoring the life, legacy, and unwavering service of the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. For more than six decades, Rev. Jackson has been a leading voice for justice, equality, and civic engagement, championing the call to “Keep Hope Alive” and reminding generations that “I Am Somebody.”

This special tribute will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Historic First AME Church, located at 2270 South Harvard Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90018. Civic leaders, elected officials, faith leaders, and members of the KBLA delegation will gather alongside community members to celebrate a transformational figure whose impact on the civil rights movement continues to shape our democracy.
